About Dr. Moody
I am a clinical psychologist by training and I specialize in conducting comprehensive psychological assessments of intellectual, neurocognitive, personality, emotional, social, and behavioral functioning for adults and youth 12 years or older to provide a depth of clarity and insight into the complexity of mental health conditions.
Education, Training, and Credentials
It was during my sophomore year in college in the Spring of 1999 that I became interested in pursuing a career in psychology after reading a short publication about the many areas of specialization in the field of psychology and mental health. After receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Oklahoma Baptist University in 2002, I went to graduate school to study marriage and family therapy, receiving a Master of Science degree in 2005 from OBU. I practiced psychotherapy for the next 7 years both in a community agency as well as in private practice. Throughout those years of providing psychotherapy to children, adolescents, and adults I became interested in the use of psychological testing to aid in the understanding of a person’s mental health. Psychological testing and assessment felt like a wonderful technology to provide a depth of insight to people that could not be reliably obtained from other methods. So, in 2012, I returned to graduate school to obtain the necessary training to provide psychological testing and assessment services. In 2017, I received a Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.) degree from the APA-accredited clinical psychology program at George Fox University.

As a part of my training, I completed a 12-month APA-accredited internship at Philhaven Hospital in Pennsylvania where I provided both psychotherapy and psychological testing services to children, adolescents and adults. I then completed a 12-month post-doctoral residency at MindSights in Portland, Oregon where I focused solely on psychological testing and assessment with children and adolescents, as well as providing consultation and expert witness for the foster care system and courts regarding children in the Oregon foster care system.
Throughout the past 19 years of providing mental health services, I have practiced in community mental health agencies, inpatient psychiatric hospitals, intensive outpatient programs, and private practices. My training experiences in psychological assessment included psychoeducational assessments, ADHD evaluations, diagnostic clarification assessments, intellectual disability evaluations, personality assessments, and some forensic evaluations. In addition to providing clinical services, I have been engaged in research starting in my undergraduate years through my most recent graduate training and have taught graduate courses in psychological assessment.
